- Dr. Matthew O'Connell to be featured in Practitioner Forum on Prediction -
Pittsburgh, March 13, 2012 - Dr. Matthew O’Connell, Executive Vice President and Co-founder of Select International, has been asked to contribute to Dr. Paul Levy’s upcoming edition of Industrial Organizational Psychology: Understanding the Workplace.
One of the leading textbooks used to introduce psychology students to Industrial Organizational Psychology (I/O), it features descriptions of I/O practitioners in real-world environments. Dr. O’Connell will be sharing his insight and experience in the 4th edition of the book and will be featured in the chapter on “Predictors”.
This student-friendly textbook, written by renowned researcher Paul Levy, is unique in its emphasis on how I/O psychologists are trained, its social/contextual approach to performance appraisal and the strength of its pedagogy, including “practitioner forums.” Dr. Levy’s books have been well received by reviewers for their applied approach and for the author’s personal, direct and casual tone, which sets them apart in the field.
