Discussion will focus on Safety DNA to develop a safer workforce
Pittsburgh, August 15, 2013 - Esteban Tristan, Ph.D., a Safety Practice Manager at Select International, will present at Pittsburgh's Marcellus Shale Festival today.
Tristan will lead a discussion focused on the topic of, “The Psychology of Safety: Using Safety DNA to Hire & Develop a Safer Workforce,” which will provide an overview of the latest research in predicting workplace injuries by focusing on each employee’s individual Safety DNA. He will also define the term “Safety DNA” and discuss how recent advances in psychometric testing make it possible to measure an employee’s Safety DNA in order to develop a safer workforce and hire employees who will engage in safer behaviors that support a strong safety culture.
The one-day festival will be held at Stage AE to celebrate all that Marcellus Shale brings to the region. Attendees can expect informational exhibits, breakout sessions, a town hall meeting and the Pittsburgh premiere of the movie FrackNation.
