It’s "Game ON!" for Orthopedics and Neurosciences with Corazon Consulting. We’ll be joining our friends from Corazon, at Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, PA, on June 26, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. for a one-day symposium that will cover: Spine and Sports Medicine Care, Physician Alignment, Service Line Structure, and the Future of Healthcare.

We’ll be joining discussions about how our progressive approach to talent, hiring, recruitment, and development, at all levels support the hospital’s service-line success. We’re particularly excited to talk about our recent work to help hospitals build a program that supports physician alignment and success.

Following our recent Becker’s Hospital Review Webinar, The Role of Behaviors and Talent in Patient Safety and Organizational Culture, we’ve been inundated with requests for encore performances. We had over 800 people registered for the webinar and now will be sharing the presentation with two additional audiences:

Ted Kinney Ph.D, our Director of Research and Development, will be presenting The Role of Behaviors and Talent in Patient Safety and Organizational Culture (The missing component of Lean, and its role in OR safety efforts) at the 2014 Dallas Fort Worth Hospital Council Patient Safety Summit August 13-14.

Ted will be joined by Michael Rose, M.D. for a similar presentation at the 2015 Virginia Patient Safety Summit, January 29-30, sponsored by the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association. Dr. Rose is the Chairman of the South Carolina Safe Surgery 2015 Leadership Team and was named as one of 50 Experts Leading the Field of Patient Safety by Becker's Hospital Review.

A few years ago, hospital talent teams were focused on how selection systems could support Lean initiatives, and then patient satisfaction efforts. Now, the attention is shifting to the role of behaviors and culture in patient outcomes and safety. Healthcare recruiters, physician recruiters, and talent acquisition professionals should be looking at how they can support their organizations efforts in this area.
