Pittsburgh, April 2, 2008 – Achieving success
and profitability with any venture begins with recruiting, selecting, and
retaining the right people to drive the engine of the business. HR
managers and directors will get an “under-the-hood” perspective on Toyota Motor
Manufacturing’s success in this arena at “The Toyota Culture: Driving
Success with a Quality Workforce,” a complimentary breakfast
presentation and business roundtable discussion to be held on Thursday,
April 24, 2008. Co-sponsored by Select International (www.selectinternational.com)
and ADP (www.adp.com), the
event will be held at ADP’s Elk Grove Village, IL, office from 7:30 a.m. to
9:30 a.m.
Keynote speaker for the presentation is Mike Hoseus, former Toyota corporate
leader and co-author of The Toyota Culture: The Heart and Soul of the
Toyota Way. Hoseus’s book and the roundtable
discussion will provide valuable insight to HR directors and managers seeking
to improve their recruitment, hiring and retention practices. Hoseus will
discuss:
- The Quality People Value Stream Model, a model that illustrates the importance of selecting the right people.
- The most effective ways to recruit, evaluate and select talent.
- Toyota’s approach to a people-centric culture.
- Assessing, acquiring, and managing the best and brightest work force.
Attendees will also learn how Select International partnered with Toyota to undertake successful large-scale recruitment and hiring projects for the automaker’s plants. Following the presentation by Hoseus, representatives from both Select International and ADP will join Hoseus for a roundtable discussion that will include a Q&A session with attendees.
